Mktg.Tech (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information — including Google user data — when you use our website (mktg.tech), the NODE platform, and our Chrome extensions (TOAD and Agent Action Optics) (collectively, the “Services”). By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Data Accessed

When you authorize our application via Google OAuth, we may access the following types of Google user data, limited strictly to what is necessary for the Services to function:

Google Account Information

  • Basic profile information (name, email address, profile picture) to identify and authenticate your account.
  • Google identity tokens used solely for authentication and session management within the NODE platform.

Google Search Console & Analytics Data (where authorized)

  • Site performance metrics, crawl data, and indexing status accessed via Google Search Console APIs to power SEO auditing features within TOAD.
  • Web property lists and associated performance data provided by the user’s connected Google account.

We request only the minimum scopes necessary to deliver the requested functionality. We do not access data beyond what you explicitly authorize.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use Google user data solely for the following purposes:

  • Authentication & Access: To verify your identity and provide secure access to the NODE platform and connected Services.
  • SEO & Performance Auditing: To power the TOAD extension’s real-time on-page auditing, accessibility checks, and performance insights using data from your authorized Google properties.
  • Platform Functionality: To store client and agency data you explicitly input into the NODE platform, and to associate it with your account.
  • Service Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns may be analyzed internally to improve our Services. No individual Google user data is used for this purpose.
  • Communications: Your email address may be used to send you account-related notifications (e.g., password reset, service alerts). We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.

We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, build advertising profiles, or for any AI/ML model training purposes.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your Google user data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating our Services (e.g., cloud hosting, authentication infrastructure). These providers are contractually bound to process data only as directed by us and in compliance with applicable law.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mktg.Tech, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
  • With Your Consent: We may share data in other ways if you explicitly consent at the time of collection.

Google user data is never shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Protection

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS) and encrypted at rest using AES-256 or equivalent standards.
  • Access Controls: Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. All access is logged and audited.
  • Infrastructure Security: Our Services are hosted on reputable cloud infrastructure providers with SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 certifications.
  • Vulnerability Management: We conduct regular security reviews and promptly address identified vulnerabilities.
  • Incident Response: In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities in accordance with applicable law.

While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage users to use strong, unique passwords and to revoke access if they believe their credentials have been compromised.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Retention

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the Services or as required by applicable law:

  • Account data is retained for the duration of your active account.
  • Google OAuth tokens are stored only as long as needed for the active session or until you revoke access.
  • Audit logs and usage records are retained for up to 12 months for security and compliance purposes.
  • Data you have explicitly entered into the NODE platform is retained until you delete it or close your account.

Deletion & User Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request deletion of your data:

  • Revoke Google OAuth access via your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Submit a deletion request by emailing info@mktg.tech with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
  • We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion in writing.
  • Note: Certain data may be retained longer if required by legal obligation or legitimate business necessity, in which case we will inform you.

6. Google API Services — Compliance Statement

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only request Google data necessary for the features described in this policy.
  • We do not use Google data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or ML models.
  • We do not use Google data for advertising or to create advertising profiles.
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless the user has given explicit permission, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain session state, remember user preferences, and analyze usage patterns. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; however, some features may not function correctly without them.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice by posting an updated version on our website and, where appropriate, notifying you by email. Continued use of our Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
